My Lost Obsession Shall Reach A New Low... Or High (If You Are A Glass Half Full Person)

Thank you Adlab for finding this treat for me.  Imagine my excitement when I read about the Lost video Game! Hooray, new ways for me to become a Lost introvert, figuring out the numbers and the time travelling of the island.  Sorry if I gave away last night's episode. So check it out here. All of the original characters have recorded their voices for the show, except Sawyer (always the rebel that Sawyer.)

Advertasting= Gross.

Okay, so Adrants as well as a few other blogs wrote a little diddy about a new concept for Brazil's Coke Zero campaign. Coke Zero is going to give free tongue piercings to those who take a picture of their newly ravaged tongue with a Coke Zero stud (see grossness below.) This concept is call, "Advertasting."

Now, my mom told me that getting your tongue pierced is trashy, and even though I was mad then, I am glad she scolded me about it causing me to not get one (thanks mom.) So, is this Coke Zero's demo? Young Brazilians with freshly pierced tongues? I hope not. To sum it all up.... gross.

When All Else Fails... Singing Kittens?

Okay, this is just ridiculous. I wonder what the ad agency who created this was thinking when they created this campaign, "Hey, what do people want when looking for a good bank... singing kittens!" 

BankWest in Australia has three kittens singing to promote "happy banking," because apparently kittens are the gurus of happiness. Now, I don't know what focus groups they had when finding what people were looking for in their bank, but these people must have been on crack. And the creatives who thought this was a good idea must have been on something, I hope not as hard core as crack, but you have to been in a different mind state to think this was a good idea. In The Land Of Happy Children And Bowl Cuts.

Sometimes the Seattle rain gets to me and I am feeling a little nostalgic. Thank god for commercials like this. It is for the New England Aquarium and guess when it was shot... you guessed it, the 70's.  I wish commercials would pop up like this every now and again when I am watching Lost.  So, one question I wish to pose to my parents, if they do in fact read this blog.  I was born in the 80's, why did you punish me with the same bowl cut these children have from the 70's? I was a little behind on the times and not a trendy child. Just kidding, at least you didn't give me a mullet.

Missouri Wants The Ladies.

Thank you Adrants for this gem.  Yes, the Missouri tourism board wants you to create your own chick flick and get in touch with your feminine side while visiting.  I would love to see the same ad, but with dudes.  I myself, being a chick, would never choose Missouri to reconnect with my friends.  Who goes to Missouri when there's Vegas?

I Wish This Was A Real Commercial.

Sometimes I wish that commercials like these really existed in places other than Alaska and SNL. Check out Virgania Horsen's Balloon Ride commercial, horray for SNL's return.
