Because I Will Be Flying JetBlue.

Next week I will be out of town in New York... so don't expect any posts. But, that is not the point of my post.  My point is I will be flying JetBlue and they have a nifty new site for their airlines. Learn about "The World Of Jetting!"  My favorite is "Experience Jetting," and starting a conversation about business with a passanger. So, when I describe it, it makes no sense. So, I suggest you check it out. Try "The Rise Of Jetting And Decline Of Flying," too. Now I am just rambling.

It is a pretty simple and straight forward site claiming that their company is on a new frontier with "Jetting" rather than flying. But, no matter how simple and straight forward it is, it is done with style and charisma. Just Check It. Adverblog

Wanted, Companies To Advertise On Fake Leg.

Sometimes I am shocked at to what lengths people will go for advertising. This is not one of those times because it is for a good cause (in my humble opinion.) An Alberta man, Nate Smids, is planning to sell ad space on his prosthetic leg. Now, before you get uppity about how bizarre it is you need to know his reasoning.  He just wants to raise money so he can have an updated prosthetic leg.  He is an active guy and wants a leg that can be used on both land and water. I'm for it. And this has got me thinking, how can I use what I have in order to raise money for a pair of Manolo Blahniks?  And no, I will never do anything like this:

Take My Breath Away.

I think we all know my love of PSAs, for example here and here.  Well, here is another great PSA about asthma for The American Asthma Foundation.  Unlike, my Canadian friends who made work related injuries seem grotesque and almost comical because of how over the top they were, this ad gets to the meat of the problem. Asthma attacks are scary, and this PSA proves how scary they can be. AdRants

My co-worker sent me an article from Slate about some of the Clio award winners. I watched one last week and thought is was hilarious.... well, maybe hilarious is an over statement, but this Thai advertising agency was pretty creative. It is for Sylvania Light Bulbs.

Fox... The New Frontier.

Fox has a new TV show coming out called Fringe. Yeah, it probably is a terrible show, just like most Fox shows, but that is not what I am focusing on. Fox is launching a new concept called Remote Free TV.  It is half of the amount of commercials during a show in order to "maximize user engagement." I am interested in whether this works. I would like to see it applied to other networks, that actually have good programming, like ABC. I once watched Fox midday programming on Sunday, it was a show dedicated to things blowing up. Sorry, once again I am focusing on the crappiness of Fox. Test Remote Free TV, and see if you are still engaged. MediaWeek

Finally!!! Summer is here! This video is to celebrate the beautiful Summer '08 thats upon us!!

The Snow Dance Worked.

So if a picture is worth a thousand words, four pictures speak volumes. The best ski season in 30 years ended... we think, Sunday. These pictures were taken of one of the cook's car at the Pancakes House at the Summit of Snoqualmie.  The first picture was taken in December and the last one was taken May 10th... May 10th! Alpental was open from December 16th to May 10th, and again the may be open next week. 530 inches of snow fell this year and it was snowing on Alpental today. Life is grand.

SkiBonkers is on Sept. 1st... that's only 113 days away.

I Agree With Digg... This Is Disturbing.

I saw this on Digg... it is an ad for Leggs. I didn't even really need to read the copy because I felt weird inside. I think it is an ad you really don't need to dissect. It is more like in ink blot, "what do you feel when you first look at it?" Well, I feel wonky inside. What do you feel?
